Discriminated for terminal illness (HIV)

I was recently layed off from a large telecommunications company. My manager told me that it was last in first out basis for layoffs. The problem here is that I was not last in - I was a tech for 12 years and nearly everyone else in my office had less time than me. He said it was because I was at his location for less than a year. Previously I was at another location in the same city under his management. He was also aware of my terminal illness (HIV) and I'm afraid thats why I was really let go. In the 12 years I worked, I received several promotions and had an excellent work history and my health has not changed or affected my work, In fact I still had 23 sick days left!
Do I have grounds for a discrimination suit.

Look Into It.

You may have a claim under state and/or federal law. If you have not already done so, head on down or call the nearest office of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and ask the to investigate.
