Can employer cut my pay 30% after DOL told them to pay back overtime to me?

I contacted DOL and informed them i thought i was a non-exempt employee for the last six years of my employment. They called my employer to request my information. On same day, they called my supervisor in and asked him did he know anything about me contacting DOL. They ordered him to return to work that day and write me up for something that happened weeks ago. ( 6 years and have never been wrote up before). The day DOL contacted my employer weeks later and told them they had 10 days to make my back overtime right, they told my supervisor my pay would be cut 30% soon. Can they do this? What should i do if they follow through on their threat to cut my pay?

That's unlawful retaliation and you would have an actionable claim against your employer under the FLSA. Call me to discuss this ASAP.
