Can I sue for lost wages from old job if my new employer misrepresented my new role?

I had a great long term stable position and was recruited to resign from it and relocated across country. I accepted it because it was higher pay, but supposed to be considerable travel, up to 75%, and I'd be doing what I am familiar with.
Now within the 1st month the new employer says while the job description remains the same their expectations and my duties are not the same. They apparently did not know there were people in another department already doing the travel required for the role I quit my job and relocated for.
I may not survive here because I'm not skilled in what they want me to do, and I've been told not to expect travel for a year.
