Because our company laid us off because they are closing, are we not entitled to our PTO?

Our company stated they were closing and laid off many of us. We have on paper, a letter stating we would be paid until the 21st of Sept.
Because of the positions we held, we were not required to stay a full week. There were no more clients left, so they told us we could use our PTO for the rest of the week
They did not pay us that time. They also took our insurance out knowing our Insurance was cancelled because of the closing. Is there something we can do about this???
