Am I entitled to residual commission after I resign?
I work as the only outside sales employee for a tech company in CO. I am planning on resigning, but I am worried that I will not be paid accordingly. I am a salaried, plus commission employee, with the commission being a backend residual plan (I get paid after the company I work for is paid by the client). I am paid the residuals on each deal over 18 to 24 months. Am I entitled to that money? Am I entitled to the commissions of a deal that I just closed but won't pay until after I resign?
