Am I entitled to receive more than a week since I quit my job for this job?
I received an offer letter, accepted the offer, was given a start date, gave notice to current employer, started on given start date, midway on 1st day was walked out due to background check was not processed (atleast thats what i was told). I was told until my background check clears I cannot go back to work, but I will get paid throughout the investigation. Then a couple days later I was told CEO changed his mind doesn't need anyone. All this in one week. Am I entitled to anymore than one week for the lost benefits and wages?
Please advise.
