company says I breached severance agreement

My job was eliminated. I was offered a severance agreement. I signed. I received a letter saying they would sign and send back the agreement. They did not. They now say that I breached the agreement. I wrote letters to some of the specific clients I worked with at a nursing home. The company managers said the letters were in breach of the contract because they caused humiliation or embarrassment to some of the employees. I did not think the letters were in breach. Can they recind?

Breach of Severance Agreement

Once you have signed, it is a contract, and it does not appear that they rescinded. If you breached the contract, depending on its terms, they may be entitled not only to keep the money but also sue you for other damages.
I cannot be more specific without reviewing the contract, for which I would have to charge you. If you would like to talk about it, please call Janet L. Heins at (262) 241-8444 in Wisconsin.
