Self-employed eligible for unemployment ?

I have been self-employed for 10 years. As an employee of my C Corporation I paid unemployment insurance to the state and federal governments. Due to the economic situation I am no longer able to pay myself a salary. Do I qualify and can I file for unemployment ? Are there any restrictions ?

Check with IL Dept. of Employment Security

If you have not already done so, you should check with the Illinois Department of Employment Security. If you are not satisfied with the response you receive, you may need to consult with an employment attorney.
