Salary Reduction

My position requires me by state regulation to possess a 4-yr. degree and this position is the only one with this requirement. There are two male colleagues-I am female-who answer to the same supervisor I do. For the last 24 years, whomever held my position received a slightly higher wage than the positions held by my 2 colleagues. One colleague has complained so badly that my supervisor has significantly cut my wages so that we all make the same amount--or so I thought. I just discovered that my colleagues both received a raise 7 months ago so that they can make more money than I do. Is this legal? Thankd you!

This sounds like sex discrimination. You need to file a charge asap with the Illinois Department of Human Rights/EEOC. It is important to do so quickly because there is a time limit by when those charges have to be filed or you are forever barred.
