Retaliation after employer received resignation notice

I've had a very difficult work situation for years that eventually resulted in me turning in my resignation paperwork. I gave approximately 2.5 weeks notice. A day after I submitted the paperwork my supervisor put me on leave restriction and changed by duty schedule. Later she told me that she was instructed to do that by her superiors. Is this legal?
