Relocation Repayment Agreement

I signed a Relocation Repayment Agreement about 9 months ago to take a position in La Crosse, WI. It was acknowledged that we were understaffed and needed to add 2 bodies to be able to carry the given workload and manage properly. After 6 months of trying to manage day to day business and make change, instead of hiring middle managers, they decided to replace my position and demote me to a lesser role taking a 10% pay cut. I have been working for this company for 10+ years and have never received a documented warning.

My question is, if I signed an agreement for a given position (wage), am I still obligated to repay if I leave the company for a greater role?

I would be interested in an individual consultation on this matter.
