REPAYING A BONUS WHEN LEAVING COMPANY

AM I REQUIRED TO PAY BACK A COMPANY BONUS GIVEN TO ME FOR MOVING EXPENSES. MY COMPANY SAYS THAT IF I LEAVE IT WILL HAVE TO BE PAID BACK. IT WAS BASED ON SALES PROJECTIONS. THE BONUS WAS 1000 MINUS TAXES IT CAME TO 723. IF DO HAVE TO PAY IT BACK DO I PAY THE 1000 OR THE 723? I HAD TO SIGN SOMETHING WHEN I RECEIVED THE FUNDS.
