Question regarding retaliation after a colleague is terminated?

I helped a friend gain employment within the organization I work. Recently, this friend was terminated after he reported retaliation from the department manager. This friend has filed a complaint with the EEOC and provided the EEOC with substancial documenation that shows she/he was being retaliated against. The EEOC will be contacting the organization with the charge and moving towards mediation. Since I helped this friend get a job, and it's very clear we are close friends, should I be fearful of my job.I encouraged this friend to talk to upper management about his issue and it ended up in her/his termination.
