Questio about seeking reimbursment

My company had me on furlough for several months.....before that things were slow and when i was working it was mostly out of state that they kept sending me. (I do constuction

So recently they put me back to work but again out of state this time in New Mexico. So I have been home for a few days after being gone for 10 days w/ a scheduled return day so because of this date my wife and I tried to schedule things. She made an appointment that she cannot change and I get a call today that they need me to leave immediately the next morning now to finish something so the other trades can continue. My main question is that now that I have to go sooner we have to get a sitter so my wife can keep her appt. Can I seek reimbursment for a sitter in this situation.....and I should also let you know....my normal schedule is Monday - Friday...I usually make the drive on Sunday now It's on Saturday. So it's not like a weekday that I am arguing about. Please any advise.
