My employer gave me a check for the hours I worked&severance pay,then canceled it .Can they do that?
I was asked to leave the company and I was told I would be given my last check, plus 2 weeks severance pay. Once I left and received the check, they canceled the check without reason (It had regular work hours on it as well) . I texted him and asked him to reissue me a check for the full amount and he said no. Please help me. I'm a nervous wreck, the bills are piling up, and the boss thinks he can do anything he wants.
