My doctor just told me that she would sign the paperwork for FMLA for my anxiety, but my workplace says I have to have worked there a year to be eligible for FMLA. Is there any other thing I can do to be eligible for FMLA?

My workplace causes a lot of anxiety and it stops me sometimes from doing my job, so either I call in or just get sick. I talked to my doctor, she said she would sign the paperwork for FMLA, and I just had to bring the paperwork in for her. Yet my workplace told me I have to be there a year to be eligible for FMLA, what can I do to be eligible? Or is there anything I can do?
