Let go by corporation after 20 years (realigning the department) but 22 staff pressed out of service. Severance package was a a benefit but was not offered. Much mischief ensued in last weeks of job by OOT managers. Received unemployment but wonder if I s

Corporate Realignment, 22 staff left due to ethics concerns, (whistleblower has a court date), state licensing boards say corporate was unethical but not asking staff to do any thing illegal. This staff person of 20 years was last staff to be asked to leave after some corporate mischief pressed me into a corner. Left and received unemployment and finally found a job 8 months later (63 year old professional) after using all the online tools and recruitment help available. Used up the full unemployment of about $13,000. Lived 2 months on savings. This company offers severance in the benefits package. Honestly the company behaved badly and several staff would have sued but were too busy trying to find work. One staff had contacted Ethics nationally and locally at the company but received no favorable response and sometimes no response at all...so got a court date for being let go due to whistleblowing. Now in negotiations with the company and can't speak about it.
