Is my employer obligated to interview internal applicants if one is qualified?
If I applied for an internal position at my employer, and I am qualified, is my employer obligated to interview me and not discriminate based on being a internal applicant? I was immediately dispositioned without a look at my resume and application by a higher up director for the only reason of me being a internal applicant, not based on my skills and qualifications.
