In Florida since hurricane Michael the hospital laid off too many people. We have been working short staffed for more than six months and told not to even think about taking time off. A lot of our PTO accumulation has been maxed out for months and we just

Hospital was damaged during the hurricane. Retained enough people to operate the ER. Then started opening up sections of the hospital without bringing on enough help. PTO balance maxed and cash out used. They are just keeping the overflow PTO.
