If I get a severance package and reach my severance date and then get a different job in the same company do I have to pay back the severance pay

The new job is one I got by applying and interviewing it was not part of or discussed at severance.

Not usually, but if your severance agreement states that you agree not to work for the same employer in the future, which many do, you could lose the new position with no recourse.
