I was wrongfully suspended from my job and other team members were aware before me, I’ve been told to just “get over it” what can my next steps be

I work at a restaurant and due to a ride situation I was rushing to leave and left a table with glasses on it and they “suspended” me for it. I complained that I had no write ups or anything on my record leading up to suspension and they withdrew the suspension but did not tell me until I wasn’t there for my next shift since they told me not to. Upon returning I was supposed to have a meeting and had to ask for the meeting to happen. I asked to be reimbursed for the Uber cost it took me to get up there to be wrongfully suspended. I was told it couldn’t have been done over the phone and gave to face but they just terminated my boyfriend who worked there with me over the phone for defending me calling him “disrespectful” and that was the reason for termination so I’m confused how they couldn’t have suspended me (even if wrongfully done so) over the phone yet could terminate someone over the phone. Also would like advice on what my next steps should be ( I have meeting with HR on Tuesday)
