I was written up by a false report a faculty member wrote despite having evidence contradicting her story. That write up prevented me from seeking other employment within my department

i'm a union public safety officer at nyu and i was written up because a faculty member wrote a false report against me. I was patrolling an area where this woman was working she asked me if she could help me and i explained to her i was on patrol and immediately left the area. She wrote an email to my department saying that she came into the area and found me in the office using the place as a lounge even though the card swipes didn't have her punching in after me my boss wrote me up anyway and prevented me from pursuing any othe job advancements because of that write up

Did you pursue this with your union? Advancement and failure to promote are grievable incidents if timely pursued.

If you failed to do that was there discrimination by your superior and what evidence is there to prove that?

Are you responsible for the person who failed to card swipe and did you timely report such failure if that is part of your job?

If this person reasonably believed you were not performing your job what do you think should happen to them for reporting you and why? Assuming no supervisor was working at the time you were seen in the lounge who else would possibly report wrongdoing if it appeared there was wrongdoing?
