I was terminated by my employer on November along with several other employees. I will be 59 in January and my anniversary date is December 8. It was implied that the termination was performance related (i.e., that I was not performing as well as others in my group) but if I sign a release promising not to pursue action against the company, they will pay me 2 weeks salary and not contest unemployment. Is anything I can do about the 20% vesting that I'm losing (about $!,300) by being terminated slightly over a month before my besting date? Also, I should conider pursuing an age-discrimination action?
