I was recently laid off and my official last day cut off is August 17th. My severance package starts on August 18th. My severance pay will be paid every two weeks but 22% taxed! I will no longer be considered an employee after August 17th. In the state of Ohio can I file unemployment while receiving this severance pay which is far less that I would earn due to 22% taxes being withheld? Thank you
