I was let go due to lack of work during this virus issue. I was given 80 PTO at time of hire, I did not earn these hours. I have 67 hrs left, Is that supposed to be paid out to me?

I was hired on Feb 17th and recently was l hours at time of hire. My first week I was very sick and used 13 hrs. I have 67 left. Am I supposed to be paid out for that time?

It depends on the company‘s policy regarding how vacation time is earned and accrued. In Illinois only PTO that is earned and accrued must be paid out at the time of termination. If you did not earn the hours, then you are not entitled to them.
