IL law requires vacation pay to be paid out on the day of lay off or the next scheduled pay day. Laid off on June 30, 2015. Next regularly scheduled paycheck was July 2, 2015. Filed for unemployment on July 5, 2015. Vacation pay was made on July 17, 2015. Employer then reported me to IDES for filing for unemployment too soon. Are they barred from doing this because they paid out the vacation pay after the mandated time?
