I signed a non compete contract will i be able to break it

When I started at my salon my boss hired me in to temporarly reception an advanced to a stylist. He made it seem like it was amazing money. Fresh out of school and eager to do hair i agreed. Two month later i was behind the chair later he told the receptionist to have me sign a non compete and i did in fear of losing my job. Ive been there two years and have been told to change my hair to make my double chin less noticiable ,others have been put down , money is not what he claimed, an now he placed a sign for a big discount on color but only for two other stylist, which will affect my money .If i leave will i be ok to work close to the salon when the contract says 10 miles, I dont wont to work to far from my house due to my teenager at home alone
