I manage nurses in one of the most difficult programs at my place of employment. I have been falsely accused of being too harsh, too critical by employees with personal problems that do not tolerate constructive criticism from me. My senior manager has not allowed me to hear exactly what the employees are accusing me of and have told me I am the problem that employees are leaving, as well as treating me as though I am guilty by keeping me from performing my duties and letting my trainer and team lead address employees. They are pampering employees so they won't quit even though the employees have personal problems and overreact to simple correction. I am now feeling as though I have no support system and feel I am being abused and manipulated by my staff with senior management's approval. As a result my authority has been undermined. Is this illegal? I helped launch the program and train. I am the only ne that has remained since the beginning.
