I had twin babies 6 weeks ago. I had them prematurely so I was not anticipating that I would have them so soon and was waiting for my doctor to give me my induction date to go ahead and start talking about my leave. They all knew I was pregnant and knew when I was due. I called HR numerous times to ask them about my leave and if they would send paperwork. The first time they said it would be in the mail and the second time she told me she was looking into if I qualify because I only work 30 hours a week. I know I qualify. She never got back to me. Earlier this week I called to discuss when I would be back to work and to again ask about the leave. She told me she would call me back and of course never did. Today I had a certified letter telling me that they eliminated my position (not possible to eliminate it so I know that's them trying to protect themselves) and that they had no other positions to offer me. I feel like this is so wrong. They wouldn't send me my FMLA paperwork and I know it's just so they could do this. What do I do? Is something so horrible actually legal?
