I am on short term disability and my job terminated as of 11/30/18. I was offered severance but have not received or signed the agreement. My employer distributes the disability payment instead of the disability carrier. I received an email from HR this m

Terminated while on disability due to company merger, offered severance, now HR is telling me that they will" maintain me as an employee until disability is over because it's too difficult for payroll and they won't put a subrogation clause in the severance contract. I feel as though they are trying to cheat me out of my severance just because their payroll pays the disability not the insurance carrier as is industry norm. Further HR was notified 2 weeks prior to them termination date that a subrogation clause would have to be in my severance agreement with regard to the continue disability payments. Further can the employer change the termination date after it has been stated to me in writing in multiple emails and sent via USPS?
