I am in the process of buying a home. I am 4 days from close of Escrow. Early last week the underwriters requested a verification of employment be filled out by my current employer and my former employer. The former employer is refusing to sign, This is out of pure spite as we did not part ways in a pleasant manner. Their refusal could cause the underwriters to refuse funding of my loan. What if any is my recourse or best course of action?
