I am a 52 yr old nurse who is on modified duty. I was suspended for expired BLS. Can I get my pay?

What I mean is that I feel since I was on modified duty, why did I have to renew my BLS which requires I get on my knees to perform the compression. My director originally told me Thursday 2/1/18. I told her I had a current ACLS, she said that should hold me over until I could take the course. She said I could work my scheduled days Friday, Sat., & Sun. I worked Friday and Saturday. When I got home Saturday, I had a letter from my job (Silver Lake Medical Center). It stated that my BLS expired at the end of January, so I was on suspension as of now, today. I didn't go to work on Sunday. On Monday I was trying to find a class. I booked the class for Feb. 9 at 09:00 am. My next scheduled days for work are: Wednesday - Sunday, so I was suspended for a total of 3 working days Sunday the 4th,
Wednesday the 7th & Thursday the 8th. I couldn't get on my knees to do compressions so I was given a table to place my dummy on and it was difficult since it was to tall for me so I was doing the compressions incorrectly, I explained to him why I was doing it that way. It was a difficult day because I had to stand each time that I had to perform the action for the modules we watched. So was it wronged for them to suspend me if I was on modified duty and can I recoup the lost wages for the 3 days?
