Hi, my former employer ha indicated to us since December 2013 that they were going to shut down the plant by March 2014 because of some warehouse consolidation strategy they came up with and had said they were only retaining two employees out of the thirteen warehouse employees they had and they were going to have to lay the rest off which I happened to be one of them. In order to avoid being jobless, I started applying to jobs while I still worked at this plant and came March, they held a meeting saying that they will not be closing down until June which was even better for me because I had not found a job but was still looking. June came around and they had to move the date again to the end of the summer but luckily for me, I got a job offer and left in August. Now my former employer is asking me to refund the tuition reimbursement they had paid me for a term and have now sent my name to a collections agency. Please do I have a good case here?
