Hello, I had just graduated and had 10 months w very light experience w a very low level of responsibility at one client. I was an intern to entry level employee. I signed a non-compete for only one month’s compensation and could not (even more so now)

-Near entry level (intern)
-Laid off early Covid
-Low responsibility
-Narrow scope of work
-Information technology
-Non-compete states I cannot compete for a job with any of their employees or competitors for two years
-New grad with significant expenses due to my new education and being a single parent
-Looking for a job with health insurance
-Over 60 new grad (told me my age was a problem verbally but unprovable)
-I cannot afford a lawyer
-On unemployment
-Worked very hard on the new degree and was laid off for lack of work when COVID took off and no one was traveling
-Looking for challenging full time work in my field
-Employer is very large and has an international presence
-Scope of the agreement is so broad it would be hard to work in my field at all at entry level at a good salary with health benefits
-I was a student who was divorced and needed the one month severance to survive
-Just having to check the boxes on employment applications asking about non-competes might make me unemployable
-Am on unemployment which is less than half of my former job
-COBRA was unaffordable on unemployment
-Repaying student loans and unable to afford health insurance so non-compete is prohibitive in numerous ways.
-Need to work full time and there is a dependent to support
-Scope of my job responsibility was such that I could not apply anything I leaned elsewhere anyway but the agreement states I cannot even compete for any jobs with their employees anywhere at all even in an different area.
-Am over 60 with no recent experience and was told verbally that my age is a problem.
-I receive fishing email for temp work with no health insurance for significantly less money and low level work with no chance at career growth (none of that is proveable).
-I had to sign that I would release them for age discrimination claims.
-Very large employer
-Am applying all over the country

Does this really prevent entry level work in IT after a recent graduation? Do I really have to check the boxes on new employment applications asking if I have a non-compete, or, does the termination letter basically say that I cannot work in IT at all because my former employer is bigger than everyone? New employers commonly ask if there is a non-compete.
