Had surgery do i qualify

I just recently had sholder surgury and i was released to light dutie ,but my employer does not have any light dutie work .they said that they would let me draw unemployment .My question is would i qualify for it .My FMLA has ran out and i dont think they are going to bring me back .Doctor is saying 12 more weeks before he will even entertain the notion. Thanks Dave

You can apply for unemployment but I do not know that you qualify under objective standards. ODJFS will make a decision, if you discuss the light duty return and your employer's refusal to allow you to return on light duty then you may get benefits. I am assuming that the injury is not a work-related injury which would raise other issues.
