Forced resignation or termination

In June, 2010 I was employed as a nurse at a Correctional facility. I was asked to resign because I wrote an inmate 3 letters (I know this was wrong now). I was offered a great job at a hospital. Months later I learned that I was turned into the Board of Nursing for a boundaries violation. I'm looking at 6 months suspension (through the board of nursing). I was asked to resign by my employer even though I pleaded to take a job in billing to housekeeping to being a nurses aid. What are my chances at unemployment since this is a forced termination?

Your chances are not very good. Even if thois a termination and not a resignation in lieu of termination there would appear to be just cause for termination.
