Employer Holding final pay check

I terminate from my employer on 1 Oct, he still owes me for about 207 hours ($8000) for work that I performed for him. I have called him and sent him email, but he still hasn't sent my paycheck. How long do I have to wait and how can I get my money from him?

Final Paycheck

There is no specific law about when you should be paid, but, if you were paid monthly you might want to wait until after Nov. 1 to see if you get your check. If not, either hire an attorney to send a letter or file a lawsuit
