Demoted to 2nd shift for placing a vacation request.
My husband requested 3 of his 4 week entitlement of vacation to travel to Australia with me. His boss just demoted him to second shift for putting that request in. claimed its becoming an annual occurrence. Vacation requested for 3 weeks for Nov 2016 it will be 23 months between prior Australian visit. Can the boss demote you to second shift a 10 year employee over someone whos younger just because you requested 3 or your 4 weeks in a extended block for OS travel. This is only the 2nd time in 14 years we've travelled home.
