DISALLOWED unemployment

I was DISALLOWED my unemployment I was collecting for a few months and the year was up from the first claim and had to reapply. I did that and now I was informed I was DISALLOWED. I went back to work on march 21st the same company until may 10th the pay was the same the position was temporary until business improved. The pay remained the same as before. I was told via text from the owner that I was on payroll. I have all the documentation from the employer. He never informed me I was a 1099 or made me fill or w2's. I have checks from the company but no stubs showing with holdings. I have copy's of work I was doing and checks he made out to me. Ho do I fight to get my benefits. On a side note I was laid off because of a harassment case that I was asked to speak to an investigator about and was told I could speak freely and my boss would not know about this and I did so. I Told this person about personal occurrences and things that went on in the office. I was then confronted by the owner 3 times about the things I said and would say "my attorney said I shouldn't be talking about this to you" and kept confronting me about what I said. The next thing I know I am being laid off due to cutbacks supposedly I don't know what to do.

Even though a part of the problem may be the employer attempting to treat you as an independent contractor. The issue of your talking to an investigator is troubling and requires that you seek an employment attorney and also appeal your disallowed benefits.
