Can an employer demote me and cut my pay but keep me performing the same job duties i was doing on salary

Company changed my pay from salary to 100% commission and after 1 month has demoted me and put me back at $12 per hour which is what I made 2 years ago when I started. Company still has me performing same job duties but says I'm in training which i still have not received any training and I asked for training before company switched me to commission because I did not understand how new system was going to work.
