Can a terminated employee now employed with another company be banned by previous company

Employee was terminated by airline contract ground handler and has since been rehired by a Airline contract fueling company that fuels the same airline that employee was terminated from. When the airline management found out that employee was working for fueler, they banned the employee from fueling their aircraft.
