Can a company change a policy that effects accrued vacation with an effective immediately date but dates the policy parameters to over the previous year terms?
The new policy states effective as of February 25, 2016 paid vacation time is a privilege earned after being an employee for 1 or more years. Moving forward, for every 5 write ups received in the past year, we will deduct 1 paid vacation day from the employee.
