Can I be laid off while on FMLA?
I have been on FMLA for 5 weeks. I received a phone call telling me I was being laid off due to work force reduction I had an off work slip to 1/16/18, the same day as Dr appointment. Dr send a revised off work slip extending off work to 2/16/18. Under FMLA do the company have the right to lay me off. I am a purchasing manager I have 3 employee's that report to me. 1/12/18 they laid off 5 labor workers. Is this justified. California
