Can I be fired for going to HR?

I contacted my HR department regarding my superintendent several months back, and they simply quoted policy as a response. My superintendent cracked down on my entire work group and said, "This is because someone went to HR."
I'm now concerned that if I go to my HR department again, they will tell him again that I did so, and that he'll fire me for it. Can he do this?

Depends on why you went to HR.
