Am I required to work after termination?

About 10 years ago I was awarded a patent. I signed all rights over to the company that I worked for at the time.

About 6 years ago they RIFed me.

Now they want to change the patent. They are telling me that I have to review and sign the new patent, on my own time and expense.

Were all contracts that I signed with them terminated with my employment?

I turns out that not that they did not want me to work for them they just did not want to pay to have me work for them.

Depends on the contract, but you do not have to do it for free. Sounds like you still have some rights to the patent.
