After turning in fmla forms I was told by my employer I needed to call a 3rd party why? The company has never gave us changes in writing about fmla

Our employer never gave the employees changes for fmla 3rd party. When I turned in my forms I was told now you have to call Cigna and give them your Dr name and info so they can contact your Dr to see if your eligable for fmla, I said No and they refused my fmla because I said No you have my fmla packet.
