my wife had signed a non compete for her employer but yet her employer cant pay her on time and she has to buy her own supplies . how does she get out of this

My wife had signed a non compete for her employer..my wife has to buy her own supplies to do her job and her employer is supposed to direct deposit her payroll check and a lot of the time on payday she has to wait until end of the day or Monday of the following week to get paid ....how does she get away from the non compete clause
