leavingto care for sick dad

I have to talk to unemployementin 30 minutes
i lived in baltimore, maryland and never have been unemployed
my wife's father was diagnosed with terminally ill cancer and we had to move asap
i informed my job i had to quit and move to be with my wife and her family
6 weeks after we got down here her dad died and wanted us to have his house
now we are here and need to stay because her mom is alone and we can't bare leaving her hear and going back to baltimore
i have tried to find a job for 2 months but no luck
i filed for unemployment but they have to do a phone interview with me
what do i say so i won't be denied benefits?
