filed for retirement eft 2-17-23, injured on job 17 days later, 11-17-22. amp won't let me rescind retirement papers. I am on TDD. catastrophic arm injury. is ploy to get me off w.c. and onto state retirement. 60% less income than w.c. is this legal

as mentioned, 22 yrs with this employer, aged 70 now. thought I would retire 2-17-23, with 22 full yrs of service. injured 11-17-22 lifting aluminum walkway. torn triceps muscle. misdiagnosed and sent to p.t. arm muscle torn from bone. had heart issue after trying to do mri in small unit. spent 3 days in cardiac hospital. tdd pays 4,000 per mo, retirement to pay 1900. emp wants me gone. will not let me rescind retirement. they are self-insured. had no idea I would be injured 17 days later. this is ploy to get me off their pay. what can I do? I have a lawyer for the w.c, but doesn't handle the retirement question. please help.
