Was I wrongfully terminated and was my character defamed?
My coworker overheard me talking about needing a ride and offered to loan me her car to run my errand. When I got back from said errand, I was arrested & fired. She told people that I stole her car and even called the police. My boss didn't even ask me about the situation, he automatically believed what she said to be true and acted on it. How is this right and/or legal?
